Solfège level I (adults)

To learn music, it's never too late!

In this course you will learn the basics of solfège,
using instruments such as piano, guitar or percussion.

These lessons take place in very small groups, maximum 5 participants,
so there is always room for everyone's questions.

No prior knowledge required!

When: Fridays from 8 pm to 9 pm

Dates: 22/9, 29/9, 6/10, 13/10, 20/10, 27/10, (no lesson on 3/11), 10/11, 17/11, 24/11, 1/12, 8/12 & 15/12

Basic price: 168 € (for the series of 12 lessons)

POP COMBO's (adults)

Do you play guitar, piano, bass, drums or sing?

Do you feel like grooving with other musicians?

There is room in each pop combo for:

Prior knowledge: you already need some experience on your instrument, feel free to ask your teacher if you are ready for this or send us an email!

Pop Combo with Maarten (every 2 weeks)

Free trial lesson on: 7/9 and 12/10 (You need to register for the free trial lessons, so send us an email to reserve your spot!)

Guitar course level II (adults, continuation of level I)

Have you already mastered basic guitar playing and would like to grow further in a group?

This course is open to guitarists who can already play the open chords (A, B, C, D, E, F, G, Am, Bm, Dm, Em), and can tune their guitar.

We play campfire songs and sing-alongs, learning as we sing, and mastering new chords.

In level II we start with barre chords and play slightly more difficult melodies.

A fun way to learn to play the guitar!

Vocal Band (adults)
I, Indira Bergmans, pop vocal student at the KASK conservatory in Ghent, am looking for students for a vocal band at Harteklop! 
You're more than welcome to further develop your voice on Monday evening and also to just have loads of fun singing together.
I'm curious to hear what your musical preferences and vocal wishes are and am really looking forward to get started with you all. 
Singing in group is not always easy but with the right technique, blend, timing and feel, it'll be magical!
No prior knowledge required, everyone's welcome!

When: Mondays from 7.30 pm to 9 pm

Music lessons for all - some more info on the 3 pricing options

Our Board of Directors put their heads together again to brainstorm how we, as a music school, can keep our prices as accessible as possible despite inflation and the impact of corona on our financial reserves.

We have no choice but to raise our fees, but we continue to look for ways to do so in "Harteklop-style".

In the coming school year, there will be 3 rates for all classes:
- the basic price
- the support price
- the extra support price

If the majority of our students can pay the support price, those who are really tight pay the extra support price, and only those who are very tight pay the basic price, it is financially viable.

The reason why we continue to offer these options in openness and trust is because the rules that generally apply around 'social rate' often do not match reality: some people do not fall under the conditions for social rate when their situation really calls for it, while others do meet the criteria, but are actually not as tight in money.

Harteklop vzw is a non-profit organisation that has been around for 17 years. We want to keep our ‘human touch’ in the way we offer our music classes.

The choices in terms of class duration (30', 45' or 60'), frequency (weekly or every 2 weeks) and the option to take classes individually or in pairs or groups make for a very diverse range of options.
