Music lessons for everybody

Our Board of Directors put their heads together to brainstorm about keeping our prices as a music school as accessible as possible even though we're dealing with the current inflation rate.

Corona has severely depleted our financial reserves. The past 3 years have been very difficult for a lot of organisations and Harteklop is one of them. We unfortunately have no choice but to increase our rates, but in doing this we still choose to do it in a ‘Harteklop-way’.

For the upcoming school year, there will be 3 rates for all classes:

• the basic price

• the support price

• the extra support price

If the majority of our students pay the support price, those who are financially abundant the extra support price, and only those who are on a very tight budget the basic price, it is financially viable for us to continue as an organisation.

The reason why we keep offering these options in openness and with a sense of trust is because the rules that generally apply surrounding 'social rates’ often do not match reality: some people do not fall under the conditions for social rates when their situation really calls for it, while others do meet the criteria, but are actually not as tight in money.

Harteklop vzw is a non-profit organisation that has been around for 17 years. We want to keep our ‘human touch’ in the way we offer our music classes.

The choices in terms of class duration (30', 45' or 60'), frequency (weekly or every 2 weeks) and the option to take classes individually or in pairs or groups make for a very diverse range of options.

We sincerely hope that everyone will find an affordable option within the new rates so you can all continue your wonderful hobby: music!

WEEKLY LESSONS

Prices weekly lessons 1st trim (14 weeks)

Trio lessons are also possible but for only for an hour since there wouldn't be enough time for every student otherwise. The prices for trio lessons of 60' are the same as those for 45' duo-lessons. There are no classes during autumn break (from Monday 30/10/2023 until Sunday 5/11/2023) and on Saturday the 11th of November.

WEEKLY lessons on Friday, uneven weeks

Prices weekly lessons 1st trim (15 weeks)

Trio lessons are also possible but for only for an hour since there wouldn't be enough time for every student otherwise. The prices for trio lessons of 60' are the same as those for 45' duo-lessons. There are no classes during autumn break (from Monday 30/10/2023 until Sunday 5/11/2023) and on Saturday the 11th of November.

Prices every other 2 weeks 1st trim even weeks (7 weeks)

How it works:

• You take lessons weekly or every other two weeks on a set day and hour
• You choose the duration of these lessons (30', 45' or 60')
  
• If you can't make it to class, you can pass on your lesson to someone else: your brother/sister/friend/parent/neighbour. The lesson can't be given at another time and/or won't be paid back.
  
• You pay your tuition in full at the start of the trimester through the bank account of Harteklop vzw (see below) (mention: NAME + 1st, 2nd or 3rd TRIM + NAME TEACHER + BASIC PRICE/SUPPORT PRICE/EXTRA SUPPORT PRICE)
  
• The first trimester consists of 15 weeks on Friday and 14 weeks on other days (from Friday 1st of September 2023 until Saturday 23rd of December 2023. There are no classes during autumn break (from Monday 30/10/2023 until Sunday 5/11/2023) and on Saturday the 11th of November.
  
• There is a catch-up week from Monday 18/12/23 until Saturday 23/12/23. If your teacher has been ill during the trimester, you'll be getting a catch up lesson during this week at your usual day and hour
